TVtiles: today’s TV puzzle

Find the four groups of four hidden among the 16 TV tiles.

• Tap four tiles you think belong together, then press Submit. Tap a tile again to deselect it.
• Tiles can be show titles, characters, actors, places, catchphrases — anything from popular US and UK TV.
• Each group shares a link, from easy to devious. Watch out for decoys: some tiles look like they fit more than one group, but every tile belongs to exactly one.
• A wrong guess costs a life. You have four. If three of your four tiles are right, we’ll tell you you’re one away.
• Guessing the same four again doesn’t cost a life.
• Lose all four lives and the game ends: we’ll show you the answers.
• Each group has a difficulty level with its own colour and symbol, from Cold Open (the easiest) to Sign-Off (the trickiest).
• On a keyboard, move between tiles with Tab or the arrow keys, and select with Space or Enter.

A new puzzle arrives every day at midnight, your local time. Only the day’s own puzzle counts toward your stats and streak; reruns from the archive and the practice round are just for fun.
